The CityBoy Movement in Ogun State has reiterated its commitment to mobilising two million votes for President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election while backing the governorship ambition of Senator Solomon Adeola, popularly known as YAYI.
The commitment was restated by Solomon Olarewaju, Special Assistant to the Ogun State Governor and a stakeholder of the movement in Ado-Odo Constituency II, in a statement issued on Monday.
Olarewaju commended members of the CityBoy Movement for their grassroots mobilisation efforts, saying the group had continued to take the message of the Tinubu administration to communities across Ogun through various programmes and political activities.
He said the movement would intensify its grassroots engagement ahead of the 2027 elections and work towards the two-million-vote target earlier set for Tinubu in Ogun State. The target was announced by YAYI during the inauguration of the CityBoy Movement in the state.
Olarewaju also expressed support for YAYI’s proposed ITESIWAJU agenda, describing it as a framework centred on continuity, development and inclusive governance in Ogun State. He said the governorship aspirant’s engagement with young people was important and should be sustained.
The CityBoy stakeholder, who is also the convener of the OSA Movement, urged members to focus on peaceful political engagement, grassroots mobilisation and voter participation as preparations for the 2027 elections gather momentum.
Olarewaju, who was recently appointed an ECOWAS Council Youth Ambassador, said he remained committed to youth development and mobilisation initiatives across West Africa. He reiterated the movement’s intention to mobilise support for Tinubu, YAYI and the All Progressives Congress across Ogun State.
