The Peoples Democratic Party candidate for Ifo Constituency II in the Ogun State House of Assembly, Hon. Omotunde Ayoade, JP, has celebrated teachers across the constituency, Ogun State and Nigeria, describing their contributions to society as invaluable.

Ayoade, in a message to mark the 2026 Teachers’ Day, commended teachers for their dedication, resilience and commitment to shaping young minds and preparing learners for the future.

He said teaching goes beyond a profession, stressing that it requires commitment, sacrifice and a genuine passion for service.

According to him, teachers continue to dedicate their time, knowledge and energy to helping learners discover their potential and develop the skills needed to confront the challenges ahead.

The PDP candidate appreciated teachers in Ifo Constituency II and across the country for their sacrifices and commitment to educating and inspiring learners, particularly while working under challenging circumstances.

Ayoade also called for greater support for teachers, including adequate resources and a conducive working environment, saying such measures were necessary to strengthen the education sector.

He said, “A strong education system begins with valued and empowered teachers.”

He congratulated teachers on the occasion of Teachers’ Day and thanked them for their continued contribution to shaping lives and building a better society.
