All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for the Ona Ara State Constituency in the Oyo State House of Assembly election, Chief Engr. Funmi Obisesan, joined other political figures for Jumu’ah prayers at the Oloruntosin Islamic Association of Nigeria Mosque in Oremeji, Ona Ara Local Government Area.
Obisesan shared details of the gathering in a message marking the monthly Ya’Lateef special prayer, expressing her appreciation for participating in the Islamic programme within her constituency.
She said she worshipped alongside Senator Sharafadeen Abiodun Alli, the APC candidate for the 2027 Oyo State governorship election, and Akin Alabi, the member representing Egbeda/Ona Ara Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives.

Obisesan also mentioned Hon. Jumoke Fakayode among those who joined the Jumu’ah prayers. She described the opportunity to pray alongside them as a memorable experience and extended greetings to residents of the constituency.
In her message, the APC Assembly candidate prayed for continued blessings and progress for Ona Ara, Oyo State and Nigeria. She also called for continued prayers for the wellbeing and development of the communities.
Obisesan is seeking to represent Ona Ara State Constituency in the Oyo State House of Assembly on the APC platform in the 2027 election. Her political activities form part of the party’s ongoing preparations ahead of the election.
The gathering combined religious observance with community engagement, as the political figures joined worshippers for the Friday prayers. Obisesan described the occasion as an opportunity to connect with people within her constituency while observing the monthly prayer programme.
